कुबेरा (भी या कुबेर) यक्षों का राजा है और हिंदू पौराणिक कथाओं में धन का स्वामी है। उन्हें धनपति का स्वामी धनपति भी कहा जाता है। वह निर्देशों के अभिभावकों में से एक है, उत्तर-दिशा का प्रतिनिधित्व करता है, जिसका अर्थ संस्कृत में 4 दिशाओं के उत्तर में है। कहा जाता है कि उन्होंने एक हज़ार साल तक तपस्या की है, इनाम में जिसके लिए ब्रह्मा निर्माता ने उन्हें अमरत्व दिया और उन्हें धन के देवता बना दिया, पृथ्वी के सभी खजाने के अभिभावक, निधि जिन्हें वह देना था वे नियत थे। लक्ष्मी धन, समृद्धि, प्रकाश, ज्ञान, भाग्य, प्रजनन, उदारता और साहस की हिंदू देवी है; और सौंदर्य, कृपा और आकर्षण का अवतार। माना जाता है कि वह अपने भक्तों को सभी तरह के दुखों और धन से संबंधित दुखों से बचाने के लिए मानती है। लक्ष्मी (या श्री) के प्रतिनिधित्व जैन स्मारकों में भी पाए जाते हैं। लक्ष्मी इस प्रकार मानव जाति के जीवन में समृद्धि समेत उद्देश्यों को प्राप्त करने के साधनों की देवी हैं। वह विष्णु की पत्नी हैं और राम से शादी कर रही हैं (सीता के रूप में उनके अवतार में) और कृष्णा (राधा के रूप में और बाद में रुक्मिणी लक्ष्मी-कुबेरा होमम वैध धन प्राप्त करने के उद्देश्य से किया जाता है। जो लोग व्यवसाय में शामिल हैं या वित्तीय और अन्य का सामना कर रहे हैं देवी लक्ष्मी के आशीर्वाद और कृपा प्राप्त करने के लिए समस्याएं इस हवन को कर सकती हैं।

Kubera (also or Kuber) is the king of the Yakshas and the lord of wealth in Hindu mythology. He is also known as Dhanapati, the lord of riches. He is one of the Guardians of the directions , representing the Uttara-disha, meaning north of 4 directions in Sanskrit. He is said to have performed austerities for a thousand years, in reward for which Brahma, the Creator, gave him immortality and made him god of wealth, guardian of all the treasures of the earth, the nidhi which he was to give out to whom they were destined. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth, prosperity, light, wisdom, fortune, fertility, generosity and courage; and the embodiment of beauty, grace and charm. She is believed to protect her devotees from all kinds of misery and money-related sorrows. Representations of Lakshmi (or Shri) are found also in Jain monuments. Lakshmi is thus goddess of the means to achieving objectives, including prosperity in the lives of humankind. She is the consort of Vishnu and married Rama (in her incarnation as Sita) and Krishna (as Radha and later Rukmini Lakshmi-Kubera Homam is performed for the purpose of gaining legitimate wealth. Those who are involved in business or are facing financial and other problems may perform this Havan to obtain the blessings and grace of Goddess Lakshmi.
